Spirulina is a blue-green alga cultivated for its exceptional nutritional properties.
It is very rich in high quality vegetable proteins, usually ranged from 60 to 70% (2 times more than soy!).
It contains 8 non-essential and essential amino acids (which can not be produced by the body): isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, valine. Spirulina accounts for many vitamins: vitamin A (beta carotene: 15 times more than carrots), group B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B12), vitamin D, vitamin E , vitamin K, ...
It is also a source of minerals, trace elements, omega 6, antioxidants and pigments (chlorophyll (detox power), phycocyanin (immune system stimulant, carotenoids (antioxidant), polysaccharides (carbohydrates easily absorbed without peak insulin that normally accompanies the absorption of carbohydrates).
PURE SPIRULINA is particularly recommended for exercising horses, horses lacking of muscle mass, mares, foals and yearling thanks to the contribution of vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
PURE SPIRULINA can also be recommended to boost the immune system through its vitamin A and phynocyanine pigment.
